I completely recommend this place! I visited this place with my family in July, and it wasn't crowded at all. The resort is huge and has a plethora of beaches, pools, and restaurants. You have to book a reservation for most of the restaurants, but it isn't an issue as there is concierge in every tower that can help book it for you. There is a restaurant for a variety of cuisines, so there is always something to suit your taste.
If you want to leave the resort at any time to check out the rest of Puerto Vallarta, Vidanta has you covered. They have verified taxi drivers waiting at a stop in the resort that can take you anywhere you like. They are very safe as they are directly with the Vidanta resort. There are also trams all around the Vidanta resort, to go to any spot you want within the resort, meaning you don't have to walk much.
Our daughter just had an elegant, perfect and beautiful wedding at Vidanta Rivier Maya. Both families and guests stayed at the Grand Mayan and bride and groom stayed at the Grand Luxx. Food and drinks were amazing throughout the resort. We love breakfas/brunch buffets at Quinto and Del Lago for $25 per person will keep you full until dinner time. Amazing dinner at Quinto, Havana Moon (beachfront restaurant with daily live music between 8-9 pm), Waves n Taco delicious tacos at Salum (beautiful beachfront eater, bars, restaurants with daily live entertainment from 7-8 pm), Gong if one craves for Asian food, and fun and fantastic pasta on fire at Tramonto. Our families and guests loved this beautiful resort, friendly and awesome staffs, amazing and delicious food... Most of all a memorable of our perfect and beautiful weddin for my daughte. Thank you Maria L the wedding planner and Vidanta staffs. And thank you Josefina the photographer for the most beautiful pictures and memorable slides made us tears (happy tears).
